Public Television Station Projected Operations and Costs.
Anderson, James A.
To provide information concerning projected operating characteristics of public television stations, this report summarizes and presents the conclusions of a much larger report based on questionnaires sent to public television licencees. It deals with scheduling, program needs, production costs, broadcast costs, funding mix, and other costs. Present characteristics and projections into the near future lead to the conclusion that the diversity of purposes of public television stations leads to competition among the purposes and programs rather than integrated planned overall development.
