INTREX Buffer-Controller Display System Operation and Software.

Intrex is an experimental bibliographic and full text storage and retrieval system which has advanced the concept of the on-line interactive search of a computer stored bibliographic data base and the on-line access to a microfiche document storage. The Intrex system includes a set of computer programs designed for information retrieval, a computer stored data base upon which the retrieval programs act, a microfiche document storage and retrieval system and an assortment of special hardware devices designed to assist the user in his information search. One of the special devices developed for the user is the Intrex Display System which includes a Buffer-Controller incorporating a Varian 620i general purpose computer and a number of remote display terminals.
