Neurosensory factors in newborn hearing are considered by Louis Gluck, while Bruce W. Konigsmark discusses hereditary and congenital factors affecting newborn sensorineural hearing and Burton F. Jaffe discusses hereditary and congenital factors affecting conductive hearing. Arthur J. Derbyshire presents theoretical considerations in the selection of variables for testing newborn hearing, and, in conclusion, a current overview of newborn hearing screening is given by Marion P.
