Making Evaluation Research Useful: A Summary of Proceedings of a Workshop.

The workshop focuses on clarification and planning of how evaluation research can be made useful to policy makers, program designers and analysts, and the day-to-day operators of life support systems in urban affairs. Sections of the book consider the topics: making evaluation research useful; what we expect from evaluation; federal evaluation policy; analyzing evaluation studies; legislative insights; identification of issues; and where do we go from here. Participants were from all over the country. The workshop's aim was to assist civic groups, government officials and urban developers in the definition of emerging issues and opportunities in urban growth and change.
