Investigating Water Problems. A Water Analysis Manual.
Renn, Charles E.
This booklet has been prepared expressly for teachers and students who are interested in investigating the quality of water supplies. The intent is to provide technical support and background information concerning water quality factors and to give basic information on field and laboratory water testing techniques. It is assumed that the reader is not an experienced chemist, but is an inquirer seeking the essential information that is needed for meaningful interpretation of the results of field studies of aquatic environments. Many of the test methods covered in this booklet are well known analytical procedures, and complete information on the reagent systems is given. A glossary of terms, a bibliography, and a water analysis report form conclude the narrative material. (BL)
