Science Policy Reviews, Volume 5 Number 2.
Simmons, Eugene M., Ed.
In addition to annotated bibliographic references to 489 current United States and foreign publications on science (including technology and engineering) policy, four articles are included in this issue of this quarterly publication. In the first article, a former President of the National Academy of Sciences makes some observations and predictions about changes in public attitudes and their consequences; Battelle's president presents an exposition of the role of engineering in ". . . rectifying the deteriorating international economic position of the U. S." in the second article. The third discusses factors governing productivity--"its role as a 'quality of life' determinant; and in the last article, the new Director of the National Science Foundation (NSF) sees the missions of science and the NSF for the immediate future.
