Students in this course are expected to expand their aural-oral skills through practice with listening, speaking, reading, and writing exercises. Performance objectives specify minimum competence to be attained in each of these areas. Structural exercises, including substitution and expansion drills, encompasses the contractions of "a" and "el,""de" and "el;" personal "a;" and the present tense of regular verbs. These materials are to be used with the "A-LM: Spanish Level One" first edition materials. It is recommended that students master the Quinmester Program course, "Introductory Spanish 2" (7503.32) before beginning this course. (RL)
