A brief report on the Syracuse University Center for Instructional Development is presented which describes the Center's organizational structure and operational procedures. The center combines support services for video, audio, graphics and photographic preparation of materials for instructional use; a research and evaluation unit to assess instructional effectiveness, efficiency and logistics and collect data on student interests and attitudes toward the courses; and a full-time professional development staff responsible for coordinating and implementing instructional development projects.
