An Evaluation System for a Psychoeducational Treatment Program for Emotionally Disturbed Children.
Huberty, Carl J.; And Others
A general description of an overall evaluation system which is being implemented in a center for emotionally disturbed children is presented. The system is based upon three types of activities: planning, monitoring, and appraising. The application of the system to the evaluation of direct services to children is outlined. The evaluation plan for the child treatment program involves five phases: intake, staffing, monitoring, termination, and tracking. Three periodic measurement instruments used during the monitoring process are discussed: a clinical behavioral scale completed by a psychologist; a behaviorally based instrument completed by trained evaluators; and a rating form completed jointly by a monitor and therapist(s).
