Science - A Process Approach, a science program for grades kindergarten through sixth, mainly focuses on scientific processes: observing, classifying, using numbers, measuring, space/time relationships, communicating, predicting, inferring, defining operationally, formulating hypotheses, interpreting data, controlling variables, and experimenting. The program, its development, and implementation are discussed in this report, including these major aspects: program characteristics, rationale, and materials; the origins of the program including personnel, sources, and funding; program development; summative evaluation; and diffusion and adoption of the program.
