This introductory course to Russian prescribes performance objectives for the student in listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Two weeks are spent working on Russian pronunciation. Reading and writing exercises in the Cyrillic script require three weeks of classroom instruction. The final unit, "On the Way to the Movies," allows students to converse in Russian and continue to develop linguistic competencies.
