Economic Aspects of Higher Education.
Harris, Seymour E., Ed.
The Study Group in the Economics of Education, which is responsible for the publication of this report, was established under the auspices of the committee for Scientific and Technical Personnel as an independent group of professional economists and educational planners. Its task is to bring the resources of academic thought to bear on the theoretical and practical issues involved in the link between investment in education and economic progress. This report on the economic aspects of higher education contains the background papers and an interpretation of the discussion held at a conference on the subject in June 1962. It is the first in a series of similar study group documents dealing with specific aspects of the group's general mandate. (Author/HS)
