Measurement and Predictors of Physician Performance: Two Decades of Intermittently Sustained Research.
Price, Philip B.; And Others
This report is the result of a 20 years' study designed to discover the rate of correlation between a physician's grades in medical school and his ability in the profession after school. The findings show that very few (3%) significant correlations were found between grades and the measures of career performance. Now, however, the much harder task of finding valid predictors to replace grades is at hand. (HS)
