Chapter 2 gives up-to-date information pertaining to the problems and considers hearing, describing sound, sources of noise, industrial and residential noise, physical effects of noise, and solving noise problems. Chapter 3 contains 23 student investigations - experiments, demonstrations, projects - related to sound and hearing and provides opportunities to consider sounds people tend to take for granted as possible pollutants.
