Hale, Helen E.
This pilot teaching unit is one of a series developed for use in elementary school science programs. This unit is designed to help children discover specific concepts which relate to sound, such as volume, pitch, and echo. The student activities employ important scientific processes, such as observation, communication, inference, classification, and experimentation. Activities for both in-class and outdoor study are described. Most activities require simple and inexpensive materials. (RS)
