Exploring the Nongraded School. An IDEA Monograph.
Purdom, Daniel M.
This monograph explores and develops the concept of nongraded schools and establishes a more precise definition for this concept. The first part of the monograph reveals the degrees to which nongrading has been bent and collapsed to accommodate grading, and interprets the values and data supporting the rationale presented for nongrading. The second section spells out a conceptual model that uses the background material provided in the first section. The concluding section addresses the problem of implementing the model by describing the engineering tasks required to implement each component of the model. (Author/MLF)
