Forces and Motion, An Instructional Unit for Senior High School Science, Student Manual and Teachers' Manual.
Hoover, Rodney; And Others
Included are the teacher's manual and the student's manual for the unit "Forces and Motion," one of a series of units for non-academic students developed by the 1970 Senior High School Science Workshop Committee. This unit is designed to give students an understanding of forces and motion. It is designed for students to learn how to: recognize various types of forces, measure forces, determine the effects of friction on moving bodies, use several techniques for studying motion, diagram forces acting on bodies and formulate basic rules of force action and motion. Most of the 16 student activities described are designed for one period, but some may extend for 2 or 3 periods. The student manual provides spaces for answers including prepared data tables, diagrams, brief readings related to the activities, and a list of 37 behavioral objectives (also in the teacher's manual).
