GRADES OR AGES: Grades 6-12. SUBJECT MATTER: French language, literature, and civilization. ORGANIZATION AND PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: The guide is divided into seven sections, one for each grade. Each section is in list form. It is mimeographed and spiral bound with a paper cover. OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES: Each section lists several general objectives and outlines the content of the course. Suggestions for activities are very general, with the exception of the section for grade 6 which breaks down the course into small units and lists specific activities for each unit. Suggestions for timing various parts of the courses are included. INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Each section lists materials, usually textbooks, to be used in the course. The more advanced sections include lists of specific editions of literary works to be studied. STUDENT ASSESSMENT: Suggestions for evaluation in each section emphasize the frequent use of short quizzes, both written and oral. (RT)
