Hearings on a bill to amend the Older Americans Act of 1965 are reported. The intent of the bill is to provide grants to States for the establishment, maintenance, operation, and expansion of low-cost meal programs, nutrition training and education programs, opportunity for social contacts, and for other purposes. The text of H.R. 17763, statements, prepared statements, letters, supplemental material, etc. are presented. Included are an Organizational Manual for Meals on Wheels from the Baltimore, Maryland Health Department, and exhibits concerning food and nutrition problems of the elderly, solutions to these problems, recommendations for a national nutrition program, project examples of five cities, and profiles of the participants in AOA nutrition programs in 17 cities.
