A Teacher's Guide on Cooperative Enterprise in the American Economy.

Developed primarily for teachers in business education, this guide is intended to provide a reference in presenting the organization, structure, and role of cooperative enterprises. The guide sets out (1) a suggested lesson plan which includes the teaching objectives in regard to cooperative enterprise, (2) text references and related available material, and (3) related questions and topics for classroom discussion about cooperative enterprises. The material is presented in nine lesson plans which include (1) What Is A Cooperative?, (2) History of Cooperation, (3) Cooperative Principles and Practices, (4) Cooperatives in the United States--Marketing, and (5) Cooperatives in the United States--Supply. Certain of these lesson plans are also recommended for use in social studies, economics, civics, history and geography classes. In addition to several useful charts and a project outline, the guide contains a set of examinations and answers.
