New England Educational Assessment Project.
The primary purpose of this questionnaire (administered to a large group of students in the six New England states) is to estimate the range of social perceptions held by students as a result of instruction. It is hoped that knowledge of this range of student attitudes will promote a greater understanding of the educational processes currently functioning in the New England region. The questionnaire includes groups of statements representing beliefs or feelings, and responses take the form of attitude scales reflecting degree of student agreement or disagreement. Sample statements are: "Generally speaking, men won't work hard unless they're forced to do so," and "The United States and Russia have just about nothing in common."
