The College and University Counseling Center. Student Personnel Series Number 11.
Oetting, E. R.; And Others
This monograph focuses specifically on the college or university counseling center. One goal of this monograph is to present an information resource about the counseling center as it exists today, to examine the personnel, clientele, and physical facilities of the counseling center as well as the theoretical model dictating the services provided. In addition, future directions for the counseling center are suggested that stress its potential for becoming the center of campus life and activity. Specifically, the eight topics discussed are: (1) the counseling center; (2) the counseling center administrator; (3) the counselor and the client caseload; (4) academic rank and salaries; (5) physical facilities; (6) services provided and models for services; (7) the counseling center in the small college; and (8) future directions for counseling services.
