Abstract of Training and Training Research.

The report discusses four steps in the systematic development of human resources through training--specifications of training objectives, input control (trainee selection), training procedures, and output control (proficiency measurement). It then considers their implications for conducting training programs and training research. A primary objective of the report is to encourage training personnel in a research approach to their problems and to point out to them the potential of an experimental approach to training and the applied psychology of training.
