Accelerated Program in Elementary-School Mathematics--The Fourth Year.

Reported is the description of the fourth year (1966-67) of a longitudinal study of the accelerated program involving 30 bright students in elementary school mathematics. This report was written to be as homogeneous as possible with earlier reports by Suppes and Hansen (1965), Suppes (1966), and Suppes and Ihrke (1967). Tables and figures in this report reflect the expansion of the curriculum and additional data available from the use of computer assisted instruction. The second section of this report contains a description of the curriculum for the current year. The third and fourth sections describe the group composition and class procedure. The fifth section presents the systematic behavioral data collected. Finally, the appendix contains a brief description and data classroom problem sets. (RP)
