The major article in this IRCD Bulletin is devoted to preschool educational programs. Following some background discussion about the new concentration in preschool education on cognitive development and the rationale for preschool learning, various techniques and procedures are reported. An extensive bibliography cites works about preschool programs for disadvantaged youngsters. There is also a brief article on socially disadvantaged child and a note about the book, Compensatory Education for Cultural Deprivation, by Bloom, Davis, and Hess (New York: Holt, Rinehart and Winston, Inc., 1965, 179 pp.).
