A bibliographic compilation on student activism and higher education is preceded by two introductory essays dealing with (1) student activism as an American phenomenon, and (2) academic reaction to the growth of violent student movements on university campuses. Included in the bibliography are readings in the following areas: (1) overviews on campus activism, (2) American university in society, (3) sociological aspects of student activism, (4) psychological aspects of student activism, (5) the radical student, (6) civil rights movement, (7) other student organizations and movements, and (8) past and present non-political aspects of student life.
