A pilot program is outlined which explored one possible way by which teachers in small schools might have access to quality in-service education. The use of the amplified telephone and the conference bridge technique is described. A general description of the course (a cooperative effort of the Western States Small Schools Project and the University of Nevada) is presented, including content, requirements, and method. An evaluation of the course considers content, method of presentation, on-site situations, and participant comments. Conclusions and recommendations for improving the program complete the document.
