Intended for parents helping their children with reading disabilities, the book describes specific activities in eight areas. The eight areas include general suggestions for the study period, hand and eye coordination activities, phonics training, ear training, reading, relaxation activities, muscle memory, writing, and spelling. Thirteen approaches to and methods of teaching are specified. The appendix lists instructional materials, including commercial work- and textbooks and programs, as well as other materials.
