To assist vocational agriculture teacher-coordinators in development and improvement of directed work experience programs, a project was initiated to (1) develop tentative procedures, (2) pre-test the procedures, (3) evaluate procedures and outcomes, and (4) revise the procedures for dissemination. Representing the final stage of this project, this manual concentrates on issues, purposes, and guidelines found important and relevant by participating teachers organized under headings of: (1) Fundamental Considerations, (2) Initiating a Directed Work Experience Program, (3) Operating a Directed Work Experience Program, and (4) Legal Requirements. Explanatory information is listed for each of 38 procedures. Seven sample forms recommended for program administration and a reference list are included.
