This report is a collection of ideas presented and discussed at a conference in conjunction with a 7-state effort to strengthen contributions of state departments of education to teacher education at both pre- and inservice levels. The aim was to evaluate and review the Multi-State Teacher Education Project (M-STEP) in relation to the problems and needs of Florida.
