Reported is the twenty-ninth session of the International Conference on Public Education which was designed to bring together information concerning educational research activities from many countries of the world. Information received for this document was obtained from a questionnaire which was addressed to the ministry of education in countries contacted. The questionnaire sought information on research relative to (1) structure and regulations, (2) procedures and techniques, (3) staff responsible for conducting educational research, (4) international action, and (5) plans for the future. Replies include proposals they suggest for improving educational research at both the national and international levels. (RP)
