Abstract:The content scales of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2), designed to assess substantive dimensions of psychopathology, were evaluated through responses of 221 undergraduates. Results indicate that the convergent and discriminant validity of MMPI-2 content scales are compromised by substantial confounding general variance. (SLD)
