Abstract:	The Full Employment and Balanced Growth Act of 1978 is reproduced in its entirety. The act, public law 95-523, is designed to translate into practical reality the right of all Americans to full opportunity for useful paid employment at fair compensation rates; to assert the federal government's responsibility to use all programs and policies promoting full employment and balanced growth; to require the president each year to set forth short-term/medium-term economic goals; to achieve better integration of general and structural economic policies; and to improve economic policymaking coordination within the federal government. The act contains a table of contents and four titles, each of which embodies various sections. The titles include (1) the establishment of goals and general economic policies, (2) structural policies and programs, including treatment of resource restraints, (3) policies and procedures for congressional review, and (4) general provisions.
