Scope Note:
Lightweight portable computers small enough to fit on a person's lap and able to operate on power from rechargeable batteries. The compact design generally incorporates a flat screen monitor, keyboard, processor, and mouse into a single unit. Prior to 2008, the Descriptor "Computers" may have been used to index this concept.
