Reviews theoretical frameworks for understanding the relationship between attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and learning disabilities, particularly reading disability (RD). Discusses the co-occurrence of ADHD and RD. Suggests a comprehensive assessment must include linguistic factors, particularly phonological processing.
