Provides retrospective on author's experience as a woman scientist who began her career on campus in the 1960s. Reveals much about the general position of women scientists of her generation. Concludes that, despite some gains for women scientists, much remains to be done to foster full equity for women scientists, whatever their campus setting. (NB)
