Power from the Wind
Roman, Harry T.
Tech Directions, v64 n5 p19-21 Dec 2004
Wind energy is the fastest-growing renewable energy source in the world. Over the last 20 years, the wind industry has done a very good job of engineering machines, improving materials, and economies of production, and making this energy source a reality. Like all renewable energy forms, wind energy's successful application is site specific. Also, like everything else in the real world, mathematics comes into play with wind energy. This article presents how wind energy can be extracted. The mathematical equation for extracting power from the wind is also explained in this article.
