Describes a high school biology exercise in which a computer greatly reduces time spent on calculations. Genetic equilibrium demonstrated by the Hardy-Weinberg principle and the subsequent effects of violating any of its premises are more readily understood when frequencies of alleles through many generations are calculated by the computer.
