Cuddy, Colleen
Computers in Libraries, v26 n4 p10-12, 14-15 Apr 2006
Fans of mobile devices are everywhere, and they are using their PDAs, smart phones, and mobile phones to access Web-based content. Chances are that they are trying to access your library's Web site or find library-based content for their devices. In this article, the author presents some tips on how to serve those who wants to grab some fast info while they're on-the-go. Some the tips are: (1) to prepare one's content which could probably give the mobile user audience the quick answers; and (2) to redesign one's Web site for mobile users. Furthermore, the author discusses the PDA limitations; how to use the right codes when coding Web pages; and how to test one's sites. (Contains 3 figures.)
