A Field Study Training Program on Wastewater Lagoon Systems.
Water and Wastewater Technical School, Neosho, MO.
This publication is a text and reference manual for operating personnel of both large and small wastewater lagoon systems with support from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). As a text, this inservice training manual is intended to be used in a correspondence course wherein the trainee or operator would read and study each chapter before completing the examination for that chapter. The first two sections explain how to study and the examination instructions. Other sections include various areas of wastewater lagoon system management such as wastewater collection systems, sewage lift stations and pumping equipment, composition and characteristics of wastewater, screening devices, flow measuring, stabilization ponds, public relations, maintenance, and NPDES requirements and laboratory testing. The tests at the end of each chapter consist of multiple choice and true-false questions. The text contains some diagrams and black and white pictures. (MR)
