McKnight, Jodi L.
ProQuest LLC, Ph.D. Dissertation, Capella University
The purpose of the study is to contribute knowledge to the existing body of psychological research in the area of emotional responses, particularly anxiety, and learning environments. It also contributes to other areas of the literature, including education and technology. Hove and Corcoran (2008) recommended investigating students' emotional responses to educational technologies. This research focuses on the comparative impact of face-to-face instruction and video conferencing instruction on students' levels of physiological and psychological manifestations of the emotional response of anxiety. This research discovered that there were no reported significance of physiological or psychological manifestations of anxiety by either class subject or type of instruction.
