This final report summarizes a nationwide effort to determine appropriate health and behavioral sciences curricula components for graduate programs in health administration. Chapters 1 through 3 summarize the background, methodology, and findings of the project. Chapter 4 presents an analysis of health sciences and behavioral/social science curricula in sixty-five graduate programs. Chapters 5 through 8 outline recommended content components for studies in health sciences, behavioral sciences, and the environment of health services organizations. (Content components--building blocks of teaching/learning/student contact time--replace courses and disciplines as basic units of curriculum.) Each component outline is divided into description and justification, competency items/learning objectives, educational strategies, learning resources, and effect of contingency variables; however, not all of the areas of division are included in every outline. Chapters 9 through 12 are appendixes and include literature abstracts in health and behavioral sciences education and descriptions of the project's commissioned and position papers.
