A supplement to the teacher's guide for unit eight of a math/science strand for Spanish-speaking third graders, these instructional aids and ditto masters are designed to help the teacher carry out the instructional and assessment activities for kits 29-32. The guide gives the timetable for when these materials are to be used. Basic theme for the unit is the nation's communities. The supplementary packet contains both visuals for classroom use and worksheets for students which may be reproduced for individual seatwork. The worksheets are to be presented under supervision rather than as independent tasks. Science materials pertain to activities about environmental pollution, safety, and the human body. Math materials encompass ordinal numbers to 30, fractions, addition, subtraction, value of coins to $1, story problems involving money, and four-digit numbers. All classroom materials are in Spanish.
