We Have Met Our Past and Our Future: Thanks for the Walk down Memory Lane
Wiseman, Robert C.
TechTrends: Linking Research and Practice to Improve Learning, v50 n3 p14-15 May 2006
In this article, the author takes the readers for a walk down memory lane on the use of teaching aids. He shares his experience of the good old days of Audio Visual--opaque projector, motion pictures/films, recorders, and overhead projector. Computers have arrived, and now people can make graphics, pictures, motion pictures, and many different things. Through the development of the computer people are doing many different things that was not a part of life at that time. How about distant learning--now that is new. Well, maybe not entirely new. People have grown with the times. They have discarded many of the original programs, processes and equipment and merged into a new and better world designed to offer the best education possible to future citizens. But they cannot stop now. They must always look forward to discover new concepts, methods, and materials. It is said that "time stops for no one"; it is ever fearlessly forward, onward and upward.
