This guide to alcohol and other drug abuse prevention for individuals with mobility limitations outlines types of problems with mobility and their incidence. The implications of alcohol and other drug use are examined, emphasizing that this population is generally at higher risk for alcohol and other drug-related problems. Possible solutions to problems of accessibility of offices and programs for individuals with mobility limitations are listed. Suggestions are provided for improving interactions, and four myths about individuals with mobility limitations are dispelled with factual information.
