This publication on common roofing and waterproofing materials and equipment is one of a series of units of instruction for roofing apprenticeship classes. The workbook portion is divided into eight topics: production of bitumens and asphalt roofing materials, built-up materials and adhesives, asphalt products and rigid roofing materials, single-ply roofing and waterproofing systems, flashing materials, fasteners, handling of roofing materials, and operation and maintenance of small engines. Objectives and informational material are provided for each topic. Appendixes to this section are a list of instructional materials required for each apprentice, glossary, and General Industry Safety Orders on industrial truck operation. The test section of this publication contains objective tests for each topic of the workbook. (YLB)
