This supplementary volume has been compiled from submissions prepared by each of the provincially assisted universities and federated and affiliated colleges of Ontario (Canada). This supplementary volume provides data on sources of revenue, including grants from the federal (Canada) government and donations from corporations, foundations, individuals, and other non-government sources. Data are provided for expenses, including the cost to the universities of employee benefits paid out of operating funds; equipment and furniture purchase, rental and maintenance expenses for computing and general types of equipment; and various miscellaneous expenses incurred, including travel costs. Tables include federal government grants and contracts, donations by source and type, non-governmental grants and contracts by source and type, miscellaneous revenue, actual employee benefits operating expenses including pension, group life insurance, long term disability, dental and health, workers' compensation, unemployment insurance and tuition remission, analysis of equipment and furniture, and miscellaneous expenses including travel and moving, space rental, professional fees, insurance, institutional membership fees, recruitment (staff and faculty), advertising, staff development, convocation, and other.
