Individualized Education Program (IEP) Planning Guide for Special Education Students Entering High School Vocational Education Programs.
Burrell, Lewis P.
This guide is designed to assist school program planners who are working with mainstreamed special education students in vocational education programs. The guide, covering grades 11 and 12, contains vocational program goals, objectives, and evaluation measures for 30 secondary vocational education programs in 15 curriculum areas, as well as for English and social studies. Vocational curriculum areas included in the guide are: agricultural mechanics, automotive body, automotive mechanics, business data accounting, carpentry, child care, communication electronics, cosmetology, electrical trades, food service, graphic arts, heating/ventilating/air conditioning, horticulture, machine trades, and welding. For each program, the goals, objectives, and evaluation methods are outlined on individualized education program forms used by the Ohio Department of Education. The objectives emphasize tool and equipment use, trade skills, and safety. (Author/JDD)
