The Ramah leadership, aware of their isolation, the lack of economic opportunity, the Navajo's poor self image as a people, and the almost total absence of any sense of community, built a radio station. This study, conducted over three and a half years after the station was put into operation, is a preliminary assessment of its impact upon the Ramah Community's attempts at cultural preservation.
