This report is one in a four-volume National Summary which presents existing workforce levels, training programs and career potentials for each of the states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Each individual state program summary is followed by a depiction of the current and projected (1976-1981) workforce figures for the environmental pollution control areas of air, noise, potable water, pesticides, radiation, solid waste, wastewater, and energy. An overview of selected environmental/energy education programs is also included. More detailed information may be found in the respective State or Regional volumes.
